Profile and History

Easter 1986 Derek Morse was seen pushing a yellow falcon down the Hume Hwy with wife Sue and three little kids helping. They were returning from a family holiday in a company issued Dalgety special that had been handed down to Derek the then Dalgety livestock Account manager.

The car was to be the tipping point for DJ Morse to rethink his long-term future. After some hearty conversations the frustrated trio of Robert Lovell the Manager from Dalgety’s and Ian Button from VPC formed Lovell, Morse and Button. They had all once formerly worked with Australian Estates together some years before hand and were prepared to have a go.

Derek recalls the first livestock sale was a mob of second cross lambs owned by Peter and Glynnis Dickson @ Hensley Park and sold to Ron Summerville Junior from D&S Meats for a whopping $36/hd. Peter and Glynis remained loyal and dedicated clients until 2018 when their property was sold.

The original office was 88 Thompson St, later relocating to 97 Thompson after Graeme Linke joined the company as a property valuer and Estate agent in 1988. Due to real estate regulations the name changed to LMB Linke Pty Ltd, to accommodate the real estate regulations at the time.

Fast forward until modern day 2020, and LMB Livestock and Land go about their business today with as much enthusiasm as they did in 1986. If its integrity, honesty and hardworking livestock and property agents that you require, then LMB Livestock and Land are the company for you
